POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the sales and operations teams. Reporting to the Western Region Operations Manager and providing input to other management functions (operations, accounting, finance, etc.). This individual ensures Lease and Rental equipment is properly maintained and serviced. This incumbent also will provide assistance and back-up for the Rental Manager and Rental Operations Coordinator in Coon Rapids as needed.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules service events with Customers and the shop. Keeps customer updated on the status of repairs when trucks are in the shop.
  • Maintains accurate records of service work performed and processes billings for all work performed. Bills customers for damage done to trucks.
  • Uses electronic service tools to determine possible equipment malfunction and creates a work plan to support the customer
  • Keeps our teams informed of equipment condition in the yard daily. Prioritizing work to be completed first with the shop.
  • Ensures that warranty is requested and received for all warrantable repairs. Ensures campaign completion when equipment is in for maintenance
  • Works with administrative staff to ensure bills are processed, fuel receipts and other paperwork are completed in a timely manner
  • Answers after-hours and emergency calls as needed, and coordinates vendors to complete repairs afterhours.
  • Develops a skills inventory for technicians and vendors and schedules appropriately skilled technicians and vendors to service work orders
  • Creates rental agreements and work orders in enrich
  • Uses Decisiv Tool to manage open work orders and repairs .
  • Provides support and backup for Rental Manager as needed:
  • Check out rental trucks and check them back upon return
    • Respond to inquiries on rental availability
  • Coordinates movement of equipment between locations as needed.
  • Other duties to meet business requirements.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of truck or equipment repair business experience
  • Excellent PC, word processing (Word), PowerPoint, database management (Enrich) and
  • spreadsheet development skills (Excel)

KEY ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Excellent follow-up skills
  • Strong reporting skills (Excel, presentations, etc.)
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree (Business/Management/Sales)
  • Practical use and understanding of Enrich software
  • Truck leasing and rental background

  • The employee is often required to climb and occasionally required to balance
  • A class A CDL is preferred
  • Understanding of Hours of Service and other State and Federal regulations preferred
  • Ability to perform minor repairs, replace fuses, replace light bulbs, add oil, coolant, or washer fluid preferred
