Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Legal Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the legal department’s processes, technology, and resources. The ideal candidate will play a key role in streamlining legal workflows, managing external legal vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal functions within a dynamic organization.
Duties
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve legal department efficiency and productivity.
- Manage relationships with external legal vendors, including law firms, consultants, and service providers.
- Oversee the management of legal technology systems such as contract management software, e-discovery tools, and document repositories.
- Coordinate internal workflows for contract review, approval processes, and compliance tracking.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the performance of legal operations initiatives.
- Support budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor negotiations related to legal services.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies across all legal activities.
- Provide training and support to legal staff on new tools, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or certification in Legal Operations is preferred.
- Proven experience in legal operations management or a similar role within a corporate or law firm environment.
- Strong understanding of legal technology platforms and process automation tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory frameworks relevant to the organization’s industry.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.84 per hour
