LEGO Robotics Instructor (Grades TK–8)
Part-Time | Contract | $30–$37/hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic LEGO Robotics Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on sessions for elementary and middle school students. This flexible, part-time role involves teaching one session per week and is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their schedule.
Prior experience with LEGO Robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO League, Mindstorms, EV3, or NXT) is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a 1-hour weekly robotics session using structured, project-based lessons.
- Transport, set up, and organize LEGO Robotics kits before and after each class.
- Foster a fun, inclusive classroom environment that promotes teamwork and problem-solving.
- Guide students as they build and program their own robots.
- Ensure safe and proper use of all materials and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational or STEM-related background (degree preferred but not required).
- Experience working with children in formal or informal settings.
- Familiarity with LEGO Robotics is an advantage.
- Effective communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the full duration of the program.
- Passionate about STEM education and working with kids.
Schedule & Location:
- Location: OAKLAND, CA
- Schedule: Fall After-School Program
- Hours: 1–2 hours per week
- Pay: $30–$37 per hour
