Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
• Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
• Provide support during catering events as needed, including meal preparation and serving.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation.
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining service, and catering operations is preferred.
• Excellent food handling practices and understanding of food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$20.53 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
