Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our Food Truck team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in a fast-paced food truck environment. As our food truck operates in various locations, the candidate must have reliable transportation to commute to different sites across the lower mainland.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items, including appetizers, and entrees, according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck kitchen, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, not required but an asset
• Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various culinary techniques, cuisines, and ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high-quality standards during busy periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other team members.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to commute to different locations.
• Food handler's certification, as required by local regulations.

Please note this a casual part time position to start. Great for students or someone looking to make extra money.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
