Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. This role supports smooth kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, proper food handling, and close coordination with the kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent food service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items in accordance with approved recipes and presentation standards.
  • Perform daily food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, marinating, and mise en place.
  • Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature, quality, and portion size.
  • Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor during service.

Kitchen Operations & Cleanliness

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas.
  • Clean and sanitize utensils, tools, and equipment before, during, and after shifts.
  • Properly store, label, and rotate food items in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Dispose of waste properly and minimize food spoilage and wastage.

Quality Control & Food Safety

  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation before service.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Comply with health standards, including proper handwashing and use of protective gear.
  • Report any food safety issues, spoilage, or equipment concerns immediately to management.

Coordination and Team Support

  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
  • Assist teammates during peak service hours to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding orders, delays, or shortages.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report low stock of ingredients or supplies.
  • Help with receiving and storing deliveries as instructed.

Compliance and Safety

  • Follow all company policies, kitchen procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to proper grooming standards and uniform requirements at all times.
  • Observe safe use of kitchen tools and equipment to prevent accidents.

Other Duties

  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the Employer as part of regular kitchen operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php695.00 per day
