Line Cook/Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and committed to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards and served promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of all food products.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 44 per week

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Kitchen: 3 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English/arabic (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-05-12
