Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including primary care, urgent care, and specialty clinics. This role involves assessing patient health, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of patients.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate medical interventions.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and spinal taps as needed.
  • Administer medications and injections while monitoring patient responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects.
  • Provide telehealth services as required to enhance patient accessibility.

Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings (Level I/II trauma center experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and workers' compensation law.
  • Familiarity with various medical procedures including dialysis, IV infusion, catheter care, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Competence in behavioral health management and pain management techniques including acute pain management and hospice & palliative medicine.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (experience with children), geriatrics (senior care), and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Patient Volume: 270 total per day

Paid travel & expenses

Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
