Logistics/Inside Sales Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by managing customer relationships, generating leads, and providing exceptional service to our clients in the logistics and transportation industry. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to navigate complex sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective account management and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Conduct B2B sales activities, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Utilize transportation management systems and CRM software to track sales activities and manage customer data.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of services and compliance with FDA regulations.
  • Prepare pricing proposals and contracts for clients while ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Engage in transportation planning to optimize logistics solutions for customers.
  • Provide support for dispatching, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, including 3PL (Third Party Logistics) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inside sales or a related field within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), AS400, and CRM software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of freight logistics, pricing strategies, and contracts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.

Pay: $56,782.55 - $66,340.27 per year
