Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery, handling materials efficiently, and ensuring production quality. The ideal candidate will have experience with manufacturing equipment, precision measurement tools, and a strong understanding of safety protocols within a fast-paced factory environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in machining, fabrication, or assembly line work to contribute to our production processes and maintain high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming to produce precision parts.
- Set up and adjust equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, and fabrication tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Utilize CAD and SolidWorks for design verification and tooling adjustments.
- Handle materials using forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues related to CNC programming or mechanical failures.
- Assist with fabrication tasks including welding, assembly, tooling setup, and packaging of finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards and factory protocols.
- Support the assembly line by providing materials handling assistance and ensuring smooth workflow.
Skills
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, and CNC operations.
- Experience with machining tools such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong blueprint reading skills along with knowledge of GD&T principles for precision manufacturing.
- Mechanical knowledge related to factory machinery, tooling setup, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely for assembly or repair tasks.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including forklift operation and materials handling procedures.
- Competence in using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Experience in manufacturing environments emphasizing safety standards and quality control practices.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or CAD software is a plus for design verification purposes. This role is vital to maintaining efficient production workflows while ensuring high-quality output in our manufacturing facility. Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
