About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician at Ashland Hills Hotel plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel's facilities. This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks that contribute to the overall guest experience and safety. The technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other essential components of the hotel. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality, the technician helps to create a welcoming environment for guests. Ultimately, the success of this role directly impacts guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation in the real estate development and management industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in HVAC or electrical systems.
  • Experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of the hotel's facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Install and repair drywall, carpentry, and other structural components as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.

Skills:

The required skills of plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical repair are essential for the daily tasks of the Maintenance Technician. Precision measuring is used to ensure accurate installations and repairs, while carpentry skills are applied in maintaining the structural integrity of the hotel. The ability to climb ladders is necessary for accessing high areas during maintenance tasks. Effective communication skills, including the ability to talk and hear, are vital for interacting with guests and staff to address maintenance concerns.
