Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in mechanical systems, electrical work, and programmable logic controllers. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing timely repairs and maintenance to enhance productivity and safety.
*We do not provide a work vehicle or tools as this is a small company*
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems within the facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for system diagnostics and repairs.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for equipment repairs or modifications.
- Interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repair processes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with staff and management regarding maintenance needs.
- Assist in residential painting tasks as required to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Mentor and supervise junior maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Skills
- Proficient in working with programmable logic controllers (PLC) for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Strong welding skills for various maintenance tasks.
- Solid electrical experience, including knowledge of wiring systems and safety protocols.
- Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair machinery effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for efficient troubleshooting.
- Experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on preventative measures.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising teams or projects.
- Excellent customer service skills to address inquiries from staff or management effectively.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes that may impact maintenance operations.
- Proficient in English to communicate effectively within the workplace.
