As a Maintenance Technician you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of our company, working on state-of-the-art equipment and supporting the growth of the business.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment including high-temperature vacuum furnaces, lathes, mills, and other machining and heat treat equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain facility infrastructure, including HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Work closely with production teams to support operational needs and prioritize repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform accurate repairs and installations.
- Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or inspections (e.g., furnace calibration, NDT equipment servicing).
- Ensure maintenance logs, records, and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Comply with all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies.
- Order necessary materials and utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for scheduling and executing maintenance activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a job shop or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with maintenance and repair of high-temperature vacuum furnaces is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment, lathes, mills, and associated controls is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
