This role manages the information flow of all inventory and manufacturing transactions, from receipt of incoming material to shipping Finished Goods.
The role is also responsible for supporting the Production Planning/Execution operations in SAP and interfacing site Manufacturing Execution System (Apriso). This includes development of all appropriate manufacturing end to end processes, providing configurational, functional, and operational support, while also identifying improvements within the processes.
This role incorporates the monitoring of lean management and inventory analysis of materials used in the manufacturing process including all global and local systems used to manage the materials.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and progress all Lean Material Management (LMM) incidents and requests for the Dun Laoghaire plant.
- Lead improvement opportunities identified by embecta.
- Act as the site project lead for any MES enhancements, liaising with the Global team and overseeing the development of test scripts to ensure continuity.
- Manage business continuity for any system interface to MES
- Ensure business continuity during planned system outages or Go-live cutover.
- Collaborate with site SMEs to improve process efficiency and maximize the use and value of MES and SAP, ensuring the optimum flow of raw materials, WIP, packaging material supplies, and finished goods
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support process improvement/enhancement projects aimed at reducing cost and complexity across the site, particularly in SAP and Apriso or equivalent lean materials support systems.
- Support new product setup with a focus on manufacturing systems master data.
- Support the review and close-out of production orders.
- Regularly report to stakeholders and perform data analysis as required.
- Assist with WIP cycle counts and annual inventory stock take activities.
- Support other year-end activities requiring input from site manufacturing systems.
- Act as backup for key logistics roles such as Warehouse Leader and Shipping Leader.
- Take on opportunities to further develop understanding of other site manufacturing systems and perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Experience and Education
- Third level qualification coupled with appropriate experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience in a lean material movements environment
- Strong working knowledge of GMP/Regulatory requirements
- Thorough knowledge of ERP systems (ideally SAP S4H) and experience in Apriso or similar manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Microsoft Office suite expert level.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative with supervisory experience an advantage
- Proactive – someone who anticipates potential problems and is a step ahead.
