Ethnolink is Australia’s largest multicultural communications agency with 50-full time staff, working with government and not-for-profit organisations to deliver impactful, culturally relevant communications.
We are looking for a Marketing & Digital Content Specialist to help us grow our digital presence, generate leads, and position us as the thought leader in the industry.
This is not a traditional corporate marketing role—we need someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, loves data-driven marketing, and knows how to execute, track, and optimise marketing campaigns to drive business outcomes.
If you’ve spent the last 4-5 years in a service-based SME, working hands-on to grow a business—and you’re ready to step into a role that truly recognises your contribution—this is for you.
Work Arrangements
This role can be undertaken either full-time or in a part-time capacity (e.g., three days per week). It is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days in the office for full-time employees.
For the first 3 months, the role will be full-time in the office to support onboarding and help you succeed as quickly as possible.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Own Ethnolink’s Digital Channels – Create and manage content across LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs, and the website to position Ethnolink as the go-to thought leader in multicultural communications. You’ll drive engagement, increase our following, and convert interest into qualified leads.
✅ Lead Generation & Email Campaigns – Develop and execute nurture campaigns that bring in high-quality leads. You’ll segment audiences, create compelling EDMs, and track performance to continuously improve results.
✅ Manage & Grow Our Web Presence – You’ll keep our website up to date and optimised, working with designers and developers to ensure it ranks well (SEO & CRO) and delivers a seamless experience for potential clients.
✅ Fill Our Webinars – Own the strategy and execution of our webinars, ensuring they attract the right audience, generate leads, and strengthen our industry presence.
✅ Develop Press Releases & Thought Leadership Content – Write content that showcases our expertise and success, making people say, "Wow, this company knows its stuff!"
✅ Manage Our CRM & Data – Regularly mine and segment our client/leads database to target the right people with the right message at the right time.
✅ Collaborate With Freelance Suppliers – You’ll brief and manage freelance designers and marketing specialists to achieve exceptional results. You’re not a designer or PR person yourself, but you know how to lead a team of experts.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience in a high-growth SME/service-based business – You’ve worked internally in a business (not just an agency), rolling up your sleeves to drive real results.
✔ 4-5 years of hands-on marketing experience – You started in a junior role and grew into a strategic, execution-driven marketer who delivers outcomes.
✔ Proven ability to generate leads through digital marketing – You know how to grow an engaged audience, convert them into leads, and track ROI.
✔ Strong copywriting skills – You write thought leadership content, blog posts, and press releases that position a brand as a leader.
✔ Social media expertise – You’ve successfully grown and managed LinkedIn and Facebook channels, driving meaningful engagement and leads.
✔ EDM & CRM experience – You know how to segment audiences, build email campaigns, and track success metrics.
✔ Data-driven mindset – You track campaign performance, tweak as needed, and own the results.
✔ Strong project management skills – You can manage multiple campaigns, external suppliers, and stakeholders to get things done.
What This Role Is NOT:
❌ A corporate marketing job—this is for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, growing business.
❌ A pure agency background—client-side experience is essential.
❌ A technical SEO or Google Ads specialist—we’re looking for someone who knows SEO best practices but doesn’t need to code.
❌ A designer—but you know how to brief one effectively.
❌ A PR or event management specialist—you can have PR and events skills, but you must also have marketing skills and experience.
