Maroubra Part Time Nanny

Start Date: End March or April (Flexible)
Contract Term: Ongoing (no end date); preferably, at least a year
Pay: $40 per hour

Days and Hours:

• 
  Monday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

A warm and caring family in Maroubra, NSW, is seeking a kind, patient, and empathetic nanny to support their 2 yr old daughter. The family is looking for someone who can provide engaging and nurturing care, while also assisting with light household tasks related to the child.

About You

The family is looking for a nanny who is:

Warm, kind, and patient able to create a nurturing environment.
Empathetic and understanding tuned in to child s needs and emotions.
Proactive and reliable able to balance play, activities, and routine.
Organised and tidy can help keep the child s paces neat and assist with occasional laundry.

Your Responsibilities Typical Day

• Arrive a few minutes before 8:00 am for handover (Child will be awake and ready to play).
• Engage child in playtime at home or outdoors.
• Provide snacks.
• Take child to her activities:
• Monday: Ballet at Maroubra Tutu Studios (9:30 am, 15-20 min walk).
• Friday: Gymnastics at Des Renford in Heffron Park (10:30 am, 15 min walk).

• Prepare and provide lunch.
• Supervise nap time around 12:30 pm (usually 1.5-2.5 hrs).
• While child naps, prepare her snacks/meals.
• Post-nap playtime (preferably outdoors at playgrounds, the beach, or, if rainy, the library or home).
• Handover to Mum a few minutes before 6:00 pm.

Requirements

The family s expectations from their nanny are:

• 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
• Must be comfortable walking to activities.
• Early childhood, teaching, or nursing qualifications preferred but not mandatory.
• Swimming ability is a bonus but not required.
• Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
• Have a current Working With Children s Check
• Display strong communication skills and speaks English
• Non smoking
• Driving is not mandatory, but a car seat will be provided if needed.
