Materials Handler/ Shipper/Receiver

We continue to explore large untapped markets across North America as we build our business for success.
As a result, we are reassessing our current staffing requirements and gearing up to continue to drive top and bottom-line growth. The leadership team has determined a new Materials Handler/ Shipper/Receiver is needed. This individual will work closely with our Inventory Manager to handle the large quantities of product stocked (>7000 pieces) and to assist with extending the current manufacturing control system helping to automate much of the heavy lifting around the key functions of inventory control, purchasing and receiving, works order planning and control, materials storage and issuing, and ultimate shipping. A Central Store has been set up to bring the inventory under one roof and the Materials Handler will play an active role in the operation of this facility.
We are currently looking to fill this full-time, permanent position as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player and eager to develop and learn new skills!

Shipping & Receiving
● Accurately execute order fulfillment by packing and shipping customer orders through ERP systems
● Implemented proper packaging and strapping techniques to protect shipments during transportation
Operated poly and steel strapping equipment to secure pallets and cartons
● Receive inbound shipments, inspect materials for damage or defects, and restock items to assigned locations with proper product labeling.
● Follow all safety procedures and company policies related to shipping and receiving activities.
Material Conveyance
● Pull work orders from inventory and consolidate materials on appropriate pallets or in proper totes.
● Pick and consolidate kits based on Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Execute KanBan routes in accordance with established KanBan documentation and standards.
● Drive continuous improvement in material delivery
Inventory Accuracy & Control
● Partner with the Inventory Manager to complete regular cycle counts using the ERP system.
● Investigate inventory discrepancies, report findings, and make improvement recommendations.
● Maintain accurate inventory tracking through the use of RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Teamwork & Communication
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business and operational goals are met.
● Strong communication is required when issuing, transferring, and returning items. Employees must coordinate closely with management and operators to ensure accuracy, accountability, and operational continuity.
● Report inventory levels, shortages, and stock issues to the Inventory Manager in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
● Minimum 2 years of material handling experience.
● Forklift and Raymond Reach experience required.
● Hands-on experience with inventory management systems.
● Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
● Competency using MRP/ERP systems.
● Strong organizational, planning, and reporting skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Working knowledge of warehouse and workshop health & safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
● Physically fit and able to manually handle materials.
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
● Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
● Proven ability to manage, retain, and execute multiple tasks accurately
● Reliable, responsible, detail-oriented, and punctual.
● Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable in a growing organization.
● Team-oriented, respectful, and professional in all interactions.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly communicating with both executive leadership and shop-floor personnel.
● Committed to supporting 6S and visual management standards to maintain clean, organized, and safe material handling areas.
