This role will be responsible for installing and maintaining mechanical and electronic measurement equipment, witnessing custody transfer and performing allocation meter calibrations. Develops and applies skills in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting natural gas, CO2 and crude oil measurement systems, and pneumatic devices and controls in a plant or field environment.
Job Duties:
Install and maintain mechanical and electronic measurement equipment, witnessing custody transfer meter calibrations.
Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas measurement systems and pneumatic devices and controls
Guides the Field and Engineering staff in implementing and conformance to the company measurement policies
Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected.
Demonstrate a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
Investigate measurement variances and prepare solutions to prevent further occurrences.
Complete and maintain measurement schematics and measurement reviews.
Witness third-party calibrations of measurement devices.
Witness calibrations of custody transfer meters.
On 24-hour call for repairs at measurement sites.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with field personnel, landowners, and purchasers.
Competencies:
Computer knowledge - Proficient utilizing MS Windows environment
High initiative and self-starter with the ability to perform under pressure
Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization
Basic understanding of oil and gas industry terminology
Working knowledge of applicable measurement standards
Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of maintenance and installation of mechanical measurement equipment
Knowledge of maintenance and installation of electronic flow computers specifically Abb Totalflow and Fisher ROC
Knowledge of meter tube design and installation
Knowledge of natural gas analysis and sampling procedures
Ability to identify operational inefficiencies
Understanding of Business fundamentals
Technical Skills related to math and analytical thinking
Understanding of the importance of environmental and Safe Work Practices
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift 40 lbs., Climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
Education/Qualifications:
5 or more years of Measurement experience preferred.
Working knowledge of oil and gas onshore production operations preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and self without direct supervision.
High School Diploma or GED, at the minimum
Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
Schedule is 5/2
Pay is dependent on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
