Mechanical Technician

At United Gulf Developments, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician. The responsibilities include conducting preventive and routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting machinery to minimize downtime, and sourcing and stocking critical parts.

The position involves working closely with the Maintenance Manager and team to maintain smooth daily operations in our portfolio of buildings. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a problem solver, and has a strong understanding of the different mechanical elements of operating a commercial building.

Requirements:

• Demonstrating a strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude
• Taking proactive steps to document preventative maintenance
• Identifying and resolving irregularities and malfunctions on equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure workplace safety
• Showing a willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment
• Handling installations and projects from start to completion
• Establishing and maintaining maintenance logs
• Valid Drivers License and clean drivers abstract
• Keep and update a master supplier list

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Technician role (or similar) working with heat pumps, boilers (Propane/Electric), and general building operations.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot building mechanical issues
• Proficiency in electronic systems, Boilers, Heat Pumps and various mechanical systems.
• Red Seal Certification – Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, or HVAC

Experience:

• maintenance or mechanical: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 5 License with reliable means of transportation (preferred) and clean driver’s abstract.
