Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our busy outpatient practice. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Assist with in-office phlebotomy.
- Assist with in-office intramuscular injections.
- Collect and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Ensure the clinic is updated with accurate patient records.
- Prepare patients for visits and assistance with in office procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
- Support urgent care operations by triaging patients based on their needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care delivery.
- Exhibit knowledge of physiology to assist in patient education regarding health conditions and treatments.
- Exhibit willingness to engage in operational workflow improvements on a recurring basis.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or familiarity in the following areas:
- Outpatient clinic operations, including patient interaction and administrative tasks.
- Outpatient medicine protocols that enhance patient care efficiency.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation purposes.
- Experience with phlebotomy
- Experience with intramuscular injections.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Experience:
- Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)
- Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
- Administering injections: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
- Wilmington, NC 28403: Relocate before starting work (Required)
