Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at CCPS Medicine. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient Check-In/Check-Out:Welcome patients, verify their information, and assist with the check-in and check-out process to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Rooming Patients:Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for their appointments, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed. Perform a 6 minute walk on patients along with spirometry.
• Vital Signs:Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.
• Order Completion:Assist with completing and managing medical orders, including lab tests and imaging requests.
• Administrative Duties:Support the administrative team with tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
• Patient Education:Provide basic information to patients regarding their procedures, medications, and follow-up care as directed by the healthcare provider.
• Infection Control:Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring all medical equipment is properly sanitized.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical assistant role or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with pulmonary care, spiromety, and clinic operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols. EPIC experience is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Hourly Wage is negotiable.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
