Medical Assistant

Wellness Urgent Care is seeking a reliable, flexible, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a motivated professional who can work efficiently with minimal supervision while providing excellent patient care and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
• Administer IM injections and assist with other clinical procedures
• Perform laboratory testing and specimen collection
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front office duties as needed
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Required:

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• Experience administering IM injections
• Experience obtaining vital signs and performing laboratory testing
• EMR experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance

Preferred:

• Urgent Care, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine experience
• Experience with point-of-care testing and specimen collection
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
