Medical Assistant-Back Office (Fqhc)

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a clinical expert capable of providing high-quality back-office support, ensuring our patients receive compassionate and efficient care from the moment they enter our facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, including recording vital signs, weight, and blood pressure.
• Diagnostics: Perform venipunctures (blood draws), EKGs, and other routine clinical procedures with accuracy and patient comfort in mind.
• Patient Intake: Document thorough medical histories, current medications, and specific patient concerns in preparation for the physician’s visit.
• Patient Flow: Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring exam rooms are sterilized and stocked between visits.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between the patient and the physician to ensure clear communication regarding symptoms or follow-up care.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and EKG administration.
• Ability to commute/relocate: Must be able to reliably commute to assigned locations or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• medical assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
• medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

License/Certification:

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)
