Medical Billing Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding of medical records, and facilitating the collection of payments. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while providing excellent service to our patients.

Duties

• Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and other payers.
• Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and appeals.
• Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare regulations
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
• Certification in medical billing or coding is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
