Medical Billing Specialist

BILLING SPECIALIST

The Karam Pediatric Group is seeking an experienced billing and coding specialist. We are looking for someone with experience in Pediatric billing and coding to be responsible for all aspects of this in a small private practice.

This would include:

Filing with insurance by preparing and sending claims for payment.

Correcting rejected claims

Following up on denied or pending claims with insurance companies

Tracking payments from insurance and patients

THE IDEAL CANIDATE UNDERSTANDS THE FUNDAMENTALS OF A PEDIATRIC PRACTICE AND HAS:

A minimum of 5 years work experience as a medical biller, 2 years in pediatrics

Experience filing insurance and managing medical billing

An Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree , or several years of relevant work experience

Experience with EPIC electronic medical records systems

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

Strong problem solving skills, is solution oriented

The ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
