Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team of a Specialist Physician and Nurse. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform clerical duties including answering phones, electronic filing and scheduling appointments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
- Be a good team player working alongside our clinic nurse and physician to provide excellent patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment to promote efficiency.
Skills
- Strong Command of Computers including: Electronic Medical Records (preferably Accuro)
- Works in an organized manner.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Excellent team management abilities to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with patients and staff.
- Solid clerical skills, including data entry, filing, and document management.
- Is punctual and reliable, as well as professional in appearance and actions
Requirements: Education, Training and Experience
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant (or equivalent)
- ACCURO knowledge is an asset (EMR)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Surrey, BC V3W 2M9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Medical office: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
- Punjabi (preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surrey, BC V3W 2M9
