Medical Office Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team of a Specialist Physician and Nurse. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Perform clerical duties including answering phones, electronic filing and scheduling appointments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
  • Be a good team player working alongside our clinic nurse and physician to provide excellent patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment to promote efficiency.

Skills

  • Strong Command of Computers including: Electronic Medical Records (preferably Accuro)
  • Works in an organized manner.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent team management abilities to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with patients and staff.
  • Solid clerical skills, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Is punctual and reliable, as well as professional in appearance and actions

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

  • Medical Office Assistant Diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant (or equivalent)
  • ACCURO knowledge is an asset (EMR)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Surrey, BC V3W 2M9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Medical office: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)
  • Punjabi (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surrey, BC V3W 2M9
