Job Overview
Positive and innovative Christ centered medical practice is seeking a dynamic addition to our team. We are searching for an experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our family oriented primary healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will be a team player who works well with others and excels in multi-tasking. Positivity, willingness to learn and communication are a must. Please note: no health insurance is provided and experienced candidates will be given priority.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients as they are roomed in anticipation for the medical provider.
- Obtain vital signs manually with blood pressure. Additionally: heart rate, respiration rate, oxygen saturation, waist and weight measurement.
- Confirm and electronically document medications and health history.
- Assist the medical provider in all daily duties to facilitate excellent patient care.
- Telephone triage: handle phone inquiries with professionalism and thoroughness of care.
- Skills appreciated but can be taught: performing electrocardiograms and pulmonary function testing. Administering injections and providing ear irrigations.
- Collaborate with healthcare provider, front office staff and additional clinic staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar skill based role.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or EPIC is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration or related field is a plus but not required.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
