Medical Receptionist/Front Desk

Job Summary
We are rededicating our culture to emphasize patient service that separates our Cardiology practice from the large hospitals and corporations. We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to actively greet patients, collect accurate information, check in/out, arrange follow-up testing and schedule appointments by phone. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment calendars
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing and coding tasks
- Maintain electronic health records and ensure accurate documentation review
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of clinic operations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Knowledge of medical coding procedures is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual proficiency preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.58 - $18.33 per hour
