Millwork Assembler

• Read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings
• Understand detailed specifications and measurements for parts and assemblies.
• Select and prepare materials
• Gather lumber, panels, veneers, and other materials needed for the assembly process.
• Assemble wood components
• Use hand tools, power tools, and clamps to assemble parts such as cabinets, trim, moldings, panels, and casework.
• Cut, sand, and shape parts
• Operate saws, routers, planers, and sanders to fit pieces accurately and ensure a smooth finish.
• Install hardware and fittings
• Attach hinges, slides, handles, brackets, and other hardware as required.
• Check for quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished products to ensure dimensions, finish, and fit meet quality standards.
• Apply finishes or prep for finishing
• May assist in staining, sealing, or prepping wood for paint or other finishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow shop safety procedures and ensure tools and materials are stored properly.
• Collaborate with other team members
• Work closely with carpenters, engineers, or supervisors to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain awareness of hazards in the workshop.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Experience:

• Cabinet Making: 3 years (required)
