Morning And Evening Shift Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team in our assisted living community. The ideal candidate should have acknowledgement with cooking and special diets. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our residents expectations while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
• Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Handle food items safely and efficiently, following proper food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
• Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and safety.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or catering or assistant living environment is important
• Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for cooking is highly desirable.
• Certification in culinary arts or related field is a plus but not required.
