Johnstown Garden Centre is currently seeking two reliable, hardworking Morning Cleaners to join our team on a job share basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of Ireland’s leading garden centres, working in a friendly and supportive environment.

We are looking for two individuals who will share the week between them to cover 7 days. One candidate will work 3 days per week, and the other will cover 4 days. This role is key to ensuring our centre is clean, safe, and welcoming for customers and staff alike.

Working Hours:
Monday to Saturday: 8am – 12pm
Sunday and Bank Holidays: 9am – 1pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and maintaining customer toilets to a professional standard
• Cleaning staff toilets and canteen areas
• Sweeping and washing floors, including use of a Hako floor cleaning machine
• Emptying bins throughout the store, café gardens, car park and plant area
• Litter picking around external areas of the garden centre
• General cleaning including hallways, entrance and exit lobbies, and removal of cobwebs
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout shift, especially ensuring toilets are fully ready for lunchtime
• Hoovering door mats and sweeping store floors

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
• Reliable, punctual and committed to a consistent work schedule

Job Share Shift Options (please state your preference when applying):

• Shift One – 3 days per week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
• Shift Two – 4 days per week: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
