Motorpool Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Motorpool Manager to lead the management and operations of the company’s vehicle fleet, including elf trucks, sedans (Vios), and boom trucks. This role requires someone who is highly organized, technically skilled in vehicle maintenance, and capable of overseeing the efficient deployment, monitoring, and upkeep of company vehicles.

The Motorpool Manager will ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant with regulatory requirements, and cost-efficiently managed to support the company’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Management & Operations

  • Oversee the scheduling, dispatch, and utilization of company vehicles.
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of all units (elf, Vios, boom truck, and others).
  • Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and optimize operating costs.
  • Manage vehicle registrations, insurance, LTO compliance, and other regulatory requirements.

Technical Oversight

  • Troubleshoot vehicle issues and coordinate with accredited service centers or in-house mechanics.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts and consumables.
  • Implement and improve fleet management systems (manual or software-based).

Team Leadership

  • Supervise drivers and mechanics, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance monitoring for the motorpool team.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular reports on vehicle usage, costs, and maintenance status.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Recommend fleet expansion, replacement, or disposal based on vehicle performance and company needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, Motorpool Head, or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of light vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and vehicle diagnostics tools is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license; professional license restriction codes (if applicable) preferred.
