Master Planner – Thermo Fisher Scientific, Eindhoven

When you are part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you join a group that excels in performance, quality, and innovation! With over $40 billion in revenue and the largest dedication to R&D in our industry, we enable you to make meaningful contributions to the world. You'll have the opportunity for continual growth and learning in a culture that empowers your development.

About the Division: The Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) develops and manufactures high-performance electron microscopes. Our distributed team of 5,000 people is dedicated to accelerating breakthrough discoveries. These complex, high-tech systems take about a year to assemble, test, and prepare for delivery. Each microscope is customized to meet customer requirements.

As a Master Production Schedule (MPS) Planner, you will be the critical link between Marketing & Sales, R&D, and Operations. You will transform monthly Sales & Operations Plans into actionable production schedules, considering capacity, product development, customer orders, inventory, and supplier capabilities. You’ll join the Tactical Planning team and work together with two other MPS planners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize the MPS to fulfill customer needs swiftly!
  • Partner with Finance, Business Units, and Operations to set clear priorities.
  • Identify and tackle supply risks and manufacturing bottlenecks promptly.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering on production process changes.
  • Advise on market trends and opportunities.
  • Maintain and enhance planning data in MRP systems.
  • Mentor teams and champion processes to ensure long-term success and adoption of improvements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Demand Planner role, ideally within a high-tech manufacturing environment and complex BoM structures.
  • Being very pro-active and self-steering, eager to learn and having strong technical affinity
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (CRM experience is a strong plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills — you thrive in cross-functional environments and work effectively with people from a diverse group of backgrounds and fields.

Why Join Us: Do you enjoy working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary environment? Are you passionate about personal development and teamwork? We value diversity and encourage you to grow with us. We are dedicated to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
