Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Multi-Business Operations Manager to oversee, optimize, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our property management team, hotel, and restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who thrives on improving processes, leading teams, and maximizing efficiency across diverse business lines. This position involves a mix of on-site and remote work, with monthly travel to locations in Kingston and Gravenhurst/Bracebridge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide overall direction and leadership to the property management company, hotel, and restaurant, ensuring each entity meets its operational, financial, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Operations & Process Optimization: Develop and implement standardized processes, SOPs, and performance metrics across all business units to drive efficiency, consistency, and cost-savings.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams (property management staff, hotel personnel, and restaurant employees). Set goals, monitor performance, and ensure accountability at all levels.
  • Financial Oversight: Work closely with finance to create and manage budgets, review P&Ls, identify cost-savings, and enforce financial controls. Approve expenses within designated authority limits and provide regular financial reports to leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant municipal, provincial, and federal regulations in property management, hospitality, and food service.
  • Cross-Business Synergy: Identify opportunities for collaboration and shared services across businesses (e.g., shared purchasing, maintenance, or marketing) to optimize resources and enhance overall profitability.
  • Quality Assurance & Customer Satisfaction: Oversee the development and enforcement of quality standards in each business unit, driving positive tenant, guest, and diner experiences.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between on-site managers and company leadership. Communicate operational performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations to the executive team.
  • Travel & On-Site Visits: Conduct regular visits to Kingston and Gravenhurst/Bracebridge locations to monitor operations, build team rapport, and address any on-site challenges directly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of multi-unit or multi-business operations management, ideally in property management, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and coaching diverse teams. Experience in remote team management is an asset.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Process Orientation: Proven ability to design, implement, and manage standardized operational processes across multiple locations.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using project management tools, remote collaboration software, and property/hotel/restaurant management systems.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong vendor management and negotiation abilities.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to on-site locations in Kingston and Muskoka region (Gravenhurst/Bracebridge). A valid driver’s license is required.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
