Job Description
We’re looking a National Sales Manager Vet Channel Companion Animals to lead the national commercial organization and drive sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving market.
This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for the sales organization (33 Field Representatives and 5 Sales Managers) and a central contribution to the definition and execution of commercial strategies in close partnership with the Business Unit Director.
Main Responsabilities
- Lead and coordinate the national Sales organization for the Vet Channel (Field Representatives and Sales Managers), ensuring excellent execution in the field
- Implement commercial strategies defined with the Business Unit Director, adapting them to regional specificities and customer needs
- Manage and develop strategic veterinary customers and key channels (Clinics, Corporates, Distributors, KOLs) to maximize coverage, loyalty, and business growth
- Define and monitor sales objectives, KPIs, incentive schemes, and territory plans, ensuring alignment with overall business targets
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics, proposing corrective actions and growth initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure effective planning, execution of commercial initiatives, and optimal resource allocation
- Contribute to the definition and execution of pricing policies and commercial conditions within assigned responsibilities
- Commercial P&L management, budgeting, and trade investments
- Develop, coach, and motivate the sales team, fostering a performance-driven, customer-centric, and compliant culture
Candidate Profile
- Significant senior experience in sales roles within the Animal Health and/or Pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the veterinary channel at least 5 years of experience
- Proven experience in leading and developing large, structured field organizations
- Strong track record in delivering sales results and translating strategy into operational plans
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- University degree in Veterinary Sciences, Economics, or related disciplines (preferred)
- Fluent in Italian; good knowledge of English is considered a plus
