The Arlington Hotel O’Connell bridge is currently recruiting for a Night porter to join our friendly team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills with experience in the hospitality industry. You will be reliable, organised, be a good team player and have a natural flair and enthusiasm for dealing and communicating with people.

Applicants must have the desire and an interest in learning and developing their skills and should have excellent personal presentation skills along with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Main Duties:

• To manage and take responsibility for the hotel at night

• To carry out front desk duties – check-in, check-out, night audit, reservations.

• To be responsible for the preparation and setting up of all Function and Meeting rooms

• To perform security and fire checks at regular intervals

• To ensure the highest levels of customer care are practiced at all times

• To deal with complaints in a courteous and efficient manner and inform the Senior Manager

• To serve night F&B orders

• To maintain and monitor the cleanliness standards of the hotel

The ideal candidate for this position:

• Previous Bar/Front desk experience essential.

• Previous Knowledge of Opera (Front office system) an advantage

• Previous training in first aid, manual handling and fire training a distinct advantage but not essential.

• Good level of spoken English is required

• Must have a professional and friendly approach whilst providing excellent customer service.

• Must have excellent time keeping skills

• Must be team player and have the ability to multi task

A minimum of 1 years experience in this very same role is essential. Candidates must be able to work full time all year round if the business requires it
