POSITION: Kitchen Helper

LOCATION: Catholic Central Secondary School

SALARY: $22 per hour

Reporting to the Principal, we are seeking a part-time kitchen helper to fill a vacancy. This position will work four hours per day at $22 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of food, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads and other duties as directed.
• Working with the culinary teacher and co-op students.
• Help serve food to students and staff during lunch periods. Maintain a friendly and positive attitude while interacting with the school community.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and serving areas. This includes washing dishes, wiping down counters, and sweeping floors to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring all items are properly labeled and put away. Help monitor and restock supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Food Handler Certification
• Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
