We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist occupational therapists in evaluating and assessing patients' needs and capabilities- Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy and interventions to patients as part of their treatment plan
- Teach patients new skills and techniques to enhance their independence and daily functioning
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and thoroughly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
QUALIFICATIONS:
With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, experience is a plus- Experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is preferred
- Certification as an occupational therapy assistant
- Interest in working with the geriatric population
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work with patients of all ages and varying conditions
