Office Administrator – Accounting & Compliance Focus

Overview

We are a Truck Driving School in Windsor, Ontario looking to hire a full-time / Part-Time Office Administrator with a strong focus on accounting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role also includes general office duties and customer service, but the primary responsibility will be maintaining accurate financial records and compliance documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, along with experience in office management, bookkeeping, and human resources. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization that values efficiency, accuracy, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations, including front desk management and multi-line phone systems
  • Manage calendar scheduling, appointment setting, and event planning for internal and external events
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract negotiations
  • Oversee payroll processing and human resources functions such as employee records management and compliance documentation
  • Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
  • Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, and other essential files
  • Ensure effective communication across departments through phone etiquette, email correspondence, and team meetings

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous office administration experience
  • Strong background in accounting/bookkeeping
  • QuickBooks experience is a strong asset
  • Experience with compliance and regulatory documentation
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
