Office Administrator/ Student Liaison Officer

Cork English Academy is a leading provider of English language courses to international, adult students. Based in the heart of Cork city, our school operates year round.

We are recognized by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), for English language teaching and we are a member of EEI.

We are now recruiting for a full-time Office Administrator/Student Liaison Officer.

You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the school reception and office and provide vital administrative support. You will acts as a key bridge between students and the other departments in the school , facilitating communication, supporting student welfare, and enhancing the overall student experience.

This position would be ideal for an administrator with the ability to multitask, who has excellent oral and written communication skills and can prioritize and work with a high degree of accuracy.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Be the first point of contact for all incoming customer queries in person and via telephone
  • Deal with student enquiries & provide excellent customer service.
  • Direct in person, email and telephone enquiries to the relevant department.
  • Assist with the management of the day-to-day running of the office.
  • Enter data to our school management system
  • Maintain filing systems and databases

Experience: -

  • Excellent telephone manner & customer service skills
  • Strong administration experience
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask with a high degree of organization
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail is a necessity
  • Ability to manage a busy and challenging workload

Skills/Qualifications: -

  • Some experience in an office environment preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • PC skills including Word and Excel
  • Be highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be proactive, positive and responsible

37.5 hours per week. 08.30 - 17.00

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From €27,600.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cork, County Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
