Operations Leader

Shape Products, a proud member of the AmeriLux Family of Companies, is transforming operational excellence as the market leader in Compression Molding, Thermoforming, Machining, and Distribution of window wells and window well coverings. As an operations leader, you will be responsible for training new employees, developing current leaders with advanced skills, interfacing with customers and challenging the status quo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate daily operations across production and fabrication areas to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost objectives.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality including but not limited to the following key areas.
• Compression Molding: weight reduction, material yield, and automation.
• Thermoforming: temperature control, equipment, and uptime.
• CNC Machining: vacuum fixturing, cycle time optimization, robotics, and traditional milling.
• Distribution Operations: freight and logistics cost reduction for 1,000,000+ SKUs.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, hire, train, and motivate production and fabrication teams, promoting the Shape Products culture.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor production output to ensure compliance with quality standards, addressing any deviations through corrective actions.
• Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize operational efficiency.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager and Vice President of Operations on production metrics, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in production, fabrication, machining, distribution or related fields, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of production and fabrication processes, including lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and process optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decision-making.
• Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, OSHA certification, or similar credentials are a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
