Optometric Clinical Assistant

About us:

Our family owned optometry clinic is looking to add a motivated clinical assistant to our team! We are seeking someone who is dedicated to delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care and service.

At Redmond Eye Clinic, we take pride in providing the highest level of care to every patient. We offer a wide range of services, from advanced medical care—including dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease management—to thorough glasses and contact lens exams for patients of all ages, including children.

Our clinical assistant provides flexible, multi-department support to ensure smooth daily operations throughout the clinic. This role assists with front-desk responsibilities, clinical pre-testing, optical services, and general patient flow. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning a variety of patient-facing tasks across the clinic. On the job training will be provided for all our procedures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Responsibilities: Patient check-in, check-out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient communication and education.
  • Technician/Patient Care: Perform pre-testing procedures, gather and enter findings into the chart, manage appointment flow for the doctor, maintain equipment.
  • Optical: Assist patients with frame and lens selection, frame adjustments, order pick-ups, and support inventory management as needed.
  • Cross-functional: Step into any department experiencing higher patient volume or staffing gaps, collaborate with doctors, technicians, and opticians to ensure efficient workflow, maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety protocols, and clinic standards.

Our office is in the growing community of Redmond, WA. We are open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Friday from 8am to 4pm with NO WEEKENDS. We offer a competitive salary based on experience with health benefits and a quarterly bonus structure.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
