Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and various painting techniques. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver exceptional results while maintaining safety standards and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or power tools with precision and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and carpentry skills for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, schematics, blueprints reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, and rigging equipment.
- Ability to perform carpentry tasks as needed for surface preparation or finishing touches.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects.
- Experience in restoration work is a plus.
