Position Overview:
As a Paralegal at Blackburn Romey, you will collaborate closely with an attorney and legal assistant to manage litigation files. This includes discovery, pleading drafting and tracking medical records and non-parties. Your responsibilities will include direct communication with clients and attorneys, opposing counsel and paralegals as well as ensuring our clients receive exceptional care throughout the post-suit process.

Required Skills:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients
  • Organize and manage physical/digital client files
  • Review court pleadings and client medical chronologies
  • Organize, track and draft discovery answers/responses and mediation brochures
  • Coordinate requests for bills/records and review independent medical examination reports
  • Organize and manage non-party request for documents
  • Assist in trial preparation and court hearing calendaring

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree required
  • Legal experience preferred (minimum 2 years)

Work Location and Schedule:

  • South Bend, Indiana (Granger, IN)
  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
