Real Estate Paralegal

Experience: 3-5 years

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions and be proficient in managing various aspects of the closing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open orders for real estate purchase contracts and refinance transactions, including confirming ownership and property information from public records. Data entry into closing software.
• Prepare the settlement statement for closing, including ordering payoffs and homeowners’ association account statements. An understanding of prorations of taxes and homeowners’ association dues is required.
• Entry of lender fees and balancing a file for closing.
• Manage the office calendar. Schedule and coordinate all parties for closing.
• Post-closing duties of obtaining funding authorization from lenders, disbursing closing proceeds, and returning loan packages to lenders.

Software Skills:

• Proficiency in Qualia and Simplifile preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
