Ceja Law Firm PLLC is a top-rated Houston criminal defense practice that is rapidly expanding into personal injury. We are looking for a bilingual Legal Assistant or Paralegal with personal injury experience to join our team and play a critical role in helping us manage our growing caseload and achieve our ambitious goals of growing in the Hispanic market.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growing firm where your contributions will make a real impact. You will work directly with a Board-Certified criminal defense attorney on both criminal and personal injury matters, including marketing efforts as we grow the personal injury side of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or litigation
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents
• Coordinate medical records, client communication, and calendaring deadlines
• Assist with the criminal docket, including expunctions, ALR hearings, subpoenas, and filings (training provided), evidence downloading and review, communicating with clients
• Contribute to personal injury marketing campaigns and client development efforts
• Provide bilingual support to Spanish-speaking clients

Qualifications:

• Personal injury experience required (litigation experience a plus)
• Criminal defense experience preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate
• Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken)
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a diverse workload
• Certification as a paralegal is not required
