The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport’s mission is to enhance economic growth and support quality of life by managing the provincial parks system and providing recreation, sport, heritage, and cultural opportunities for residents and visitors. The Ministry is currently seeking a dynamic, motivated individual who is a flexible team player for the position of Park Maintenance Worker at The Battlefords Provincial Park. Reporting to the Resource Maintenance Supervisor, this position will perform duties related to the operation and maintenance of the park, its facilities, buildings, and infrastructure. This is a term position, working from April to October.

As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform a variety of duties, including:
- Grass cutting, painting, and shoveling;
- Using proper equipment and hand tools safely;
- Lifting, carrying, and moving supplies and equipment securely; and
- Operating a variety of light to medium pieces of equipment.
Additional duties may be assigned. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team to complete work assignments, ensure the park is clean, safe, and operating at the highest standards, and foster a positive working environment. The candidate must also be able to verbally and in writing identify, document, and evaluate potential risks or hazards related to self and others.
To qualify for this position, you:
- Must possess and maintain a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License;
- Will be required to clear a criminal record check;
- Will be required to wear a uniform according to the Saskatchewan Parks Uniform Policy and maintain a professional appearance;
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends; and,
- Reliability and trustworthiness, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
