Part-Time Barista

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred. A strong focus on food safety, cash handling, and time management is essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks.
• Handle cash register operations, including cashiering and cash handling with accuracy
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
• Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Restock supplies as needed and perform basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks
• Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food service and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
• Must be fluent in English
• Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
• Knowledge of food safety, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
