Role Overview
Irish Building Supply is seeking a part-time Digital Content & E-Commerce Coordinator to support our growing B2B and e-commerce business. This is a hands-on role focused on creating, managing and optimising digital content across social media, email marketing and our e-commerce website.
This role will suit someone with practical, applied experience in digital content creation and social media management who enjoys working independently, understands commercial goals, and can translate products and services into clear, engaging online content.

Irish Building Supply is a family-run, independent builders merchants supplying quality building materials to the Greater Dublin Area for over 55 years. We supply builders, tradespeople, self-builders and DIY customers from our stores in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Content & Social Media
- Plan, create and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Meta platforms
- Capture, edit and publish short-form video, imagery and written content aligned with business goals (B2B focus)
- Write strong, clear captions and short-form copy that supports sales and brand positioning
- Manage content calendars and social media management tools
- Monitor performance and engagement and suggest improvements
- Capture occasional on-site content (products, behind-the-scenes, short tutorials)
E-Commerce & Website Support
- Support day-to-day management of the e-commerce website
- Upload and maintain product listings, descriptions and basic website content
- Assist with SEO, including keyword optimisation and product page improvements
- Monitor website traffic and basic performance metrics
Email Marketing
- Create and schedule email newsletters (Mailchimp or similar platform)
- Support promotional and informational campaigns aimed at B2B customers
Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Applicants must have:
- Hands-on experience using Canva (or alternative platform) for digital content creation
- Experience managing social media using Meta and TikTok platforms
- Experience with LinkedIn and email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar)
- Practical experience managing social media accounts for a business (not personal use only)
- Experience updating website or e-commerce content (products, pages, SEO basics)
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience in MS Office - particularly Outlook and Excel
Availability & Location Requirements
- Available to work 16–24 hours per week
- Available for a minimum of 8 morning hours per week between 9:30am–1:30pm (Monday–Thursday) for collaboration and meetings
- Available to attend weekly online meetings
- Able to attend on-site work approx. 1 day per month in:
- Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin
- Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow
- Access to a car and full driving licence is required
This Role Is NOT Suitable For:
- Very junior students with no practical experience
- Influencers or creators seeking to grow a personal brand only
- Agencies or freelance teams
- Pure graphic designers or video editors with no interest in social media, SEO or e-commerce
- Candidates seeking fully flexible hours with no fixed availability
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Experience in B2B or retail/e-commerce environments
- Understanding of SEO and keyword research
- Experience using scheduling or analytics tools
- Interest in construction, DIY or building materials
