Part-Time Maintenance Person – Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan

Esker Lodge Nursing Home in Cavan is seeking a dependable Part-Time Maintenance Person to support the safe and comfortable living environment of our residents.

This role is essential in maintaining a warm, homely, and safe setting for older people, working closely with nursing, care, and management teams to ensure the highest standards of comfort and safety are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs in resident bedrooms and communal areas
• Ensuring equipment, fixtures, and facilities are safe and in good working order
• Supporting health, safety, and infection control standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
• Responding promptly and sensitively to maintenance needs within the home

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role, ideally within a healthcare or residential setting
• A respectful, patient, and resident-focused approach
• Good practical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while being part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliability, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility
